These Hudson Valley GRITS have “true grit”!
With the wind chill, temps were in the single digits but these gals conquered the clays today! In fact, four of these ladies were not only new to GRITS but new to shotgun sports! You all ROCK!
And Thank You Karen Haigh for filling in as chief GRITS gal today while the rest of us hunkered down in our warm homes and offices 🥶
Southern New England GRITS Saturday at The Preserve was continuous rain, but we were able to shoot from their warming hut. Heat lamps in the porch ceiling were a plus!! Fun day!
It may have been a very “balmy” 38 degrees but that didn’t stop the Central Virginia GRITS from getting outside for some sporting clay shooting today. It was great to see everyone that was able to join in the fun. A big thank you to Central Virginia Sporting Clays for hosting us!
The theme of our Hudson Valley GRITS upland hunt was “Birds and Beads” in honor of Mardi Gras but Mother Nature didn’t cooperate with snow and freezing rain in the forecast.
So… we flipped the script, had gathering anyway and called it “Beads but no Birds”
An afternoon of fabulous food and drink…from muffuletta and King cake to milk punch and good wine. Plus music, costumes, boas and beads all brightened up this otherwise dreary day.
