Rhode Island GRITS

Meet the R.I. GRITS

Their Leader

 Chapter Leader:

Cindy Roberge

Cindy resides in Newport, RI with her husband Dan. She has a long list of interests and enjoys trying new things all the time, which is how she became involved in sporting clays.

She tried skeet and trap in 2015, and was introduced to sporting clays in 2016 and was hooked.

Shooting sporting clays with the GRITS and as a sport has been a great opportunity to meet so many fantastic people, which is one of her favorite things about shooting. Cindy wanted to continue the camaraderie with the GRITS gals, which is why she started the Rhode Island GRITS chapter.

ToniLisa Frisella

ToniLisa joined GRITS in 2020 when she decided it was time to learn to shoot sporting clays. She was introduced to sporting clays in 2013 when her now-husband, Richie Frisella Jr., took her out for a clays lesson at Mid-Hudson Sporting Clays as one of their first dates.

Before she started shooting clays, she assisted with NSCA tournament registration and trapping at Mid-Hudson Sporting Clays and Ten Mile River Preserve.

Now, she happily travels to GRITS events in the Hudson Valley and Rhode Island area. She first heard about GRITS from her husband back when they lived in Dutchess County. Her favorite place to practice is in her backyard. She enjoys upland hunting and gun dog training with her three Tri-color English Settlers: Battue, Midi, and Beretta. She is often at local beaches and eateries living the Rhody Life in Wakefield, RI.

The RI Chapter shoots together regularly but on a more impromptu basis. Send a message to the chapter if you’d like to be added to the email list so you can receive notices for any upcoming gatherings.
