We are popping up everywhere! It is so exciting to see women embrace this sport and we believe one of the reasons they are confident enough to step out and try it is because other women are doing it with them! So grab a friend or two and get out there and give shotgunning a try. For those of us already loving this sport, share your enthusiasm with other women. We want G.R.I.T.S. Chapters to reach out to all women who want to give this sport a go!
This past weekend we had a fabulous turnout at Elk Creek Hunt Club in Owenton, KY. Owned by Beth and Bobby Rowe, Beth quickly realized the importance of the gun club aligning with the G.R.I.T.S. organization and is actively promoting and encouraging women in the shotgun sports. By forming a G.R.I.T.S. Chapter at Elk Creek, women know that one day a month, maybe two, there will be other fun loving ladies waiting to go shooting together. No scores, just fun! And many women shooters who will be happy to help and encourage each other!
